Before you select any Dating Coach, ask the right questions: 1. Proof of the number of years experience working exclusively with singles, in a social-educational capacity 2. How many singles-only, verifiable, coaching hours do they currently have 3. What prior background led up to coaching?   Anyone can claim to be a Dating Coach. There are no agencies governing qualifications, such as there are for psychotherapists. About me During the 1970s and early 1980s I was director of my own singles organization, Contact Institute, which hosted interactive lectures and the earliest Speed Dating mixers. But let’s back up a bit; what led me to this full-time occupation? Early research Fifteen years before internet Dating Coaches existed I was already coaching singles on meeting and dating skills - based on Dr. George Bach’s research and his UCLA ‘Pairing’ (model of communication). I’ve continued helping singles using these and many other social skill models such as behavior modification, NLP, Gestalt, CBT, micro-skill analysis, and more. However, knowledge is only one of the keys to excellent coaching. Nothing works like experience  Consultants coming in from other fields have a major obstacle before becoming true experts in date coaching. Not only are they faced with learning the latest skills sets, they need an enormous amount of practice and experience. Psychotherapists do this via a three-thousand-hour internship. Gaining massive experience To date, I have personally conducted over 2,150 singles workshops.  Initially they were held at the Experimental College division of Cal State University, Northridge. They were no-fee, research-based programs attended by university students. Quickly though, they attracted single women and men of all ages. Then I expanded into other colleges, singles organizations and my own, specialized group work at my Westwood office in California. Skill sets were developed from single-topic workshops, such as:  • How To meet and identify the right person • Shyness workshops  • Single women only workshops   • Men-only singles workshops • Conversational workshops, generally attended by singles • Speed dating events in Southern California which I personally facilitated Workshops were conducted, on average, twice a week, every week, every year, until I had put in roughly 9,675 hours, practicing, refining and enhancing my skill knowledge base. But singles workshops were only part of my internship. Private coaching My one-on-one coaching with singles presently exceeds 7,400 hours of session time, most of it the direct result of workshops, lectures, facilitation, referrals; with the smallest number of clients coming from the Internet. I have one of the longest time spans of individual experience in the singles-educational field in America-and...it’s verifiable! My professional standard of excellence: guaranteed results!
