Midwifery, Pregnancy, Childbirth
The
Farm Midwives.
For some of us, Spiritual Midwifery was the
first book about homebirth that we ever read. We may have disagreed
adamantly with the Gaskins' theology, may have been skeptical about
"hippie midwives", may have grown weary of contractions being renamed
"rushes"...but we couldn't argue with the excellent record of safe
births.

Note: The GFI website, since its beginning, has undergone a number of
significant changes.
Since the past few years, the "Forum" (their online discussion area)
is no longer really
a forum. Previously, curious visitors wishing to read what GFI
adherents have
to say about the programs were not allowed to view any of the
discussion unless they had taken GFI classes
and could convince GFI that they were "likeminded". Now there is no
longer any discussion.
The
Ezzo/GFI Bibliography
Some outspoken GFI advocates claim that "all
the criticism" comes from "the same three people". This
extensive Bibliography of articles, books and other resources puts to
lie that claim. It also points out what a number of
Christian leaders have to say about the Ezzos' teaching. This is a
valuable resource for churches investigating
the GFI controversy and for anyone researching the issues for
themselves.
