You Know You're a Mega-Family When...
by Rebecca Prewett
There are some families that are beyond big. They
are truly mega-families. How can you know if you're a
mega-family? Well, read on:
...people no longer attempt to count the number of your children out loud when you're in public
...people are too stunned to comment when you tell them how many children you have
...people ask, "Are they all yours?" in a tone that indicates they really hope the children belong to at least 3 or 4 different families
...everyone you know has less children than you do
...people no longer say, "Wow! How do you manage?" because they think you are superwoman
...you have given up on finding a suitable dining table. Now you own 2 or 3 dining tables.
...you outgrow your 15-passenger van
...one of your children says, "I feel so sorry for kids with only 12 siblings. They must be sooo lonely!"
...you've had to design your own house and it reminds you of a medium-sized Bed and Breakfast
...your tents are the largest in any campground; in fact, you pretty much take up the entire campground
...whenever you set your dining tables, it looks like you're running a restaurant
...you start thinking of yourself as "rich in children". You certainly aren't rich in anything else.
